Konsep Mewujudkan Keluarga Sakinah, Mawaddah, Warahmah

Abstract

Premarital counseling plays an essential role in establishing a sakinah, mawaddah, warahmah (Samawa) family, which represents the ideal aspiration of every couple. This study aims to examine the concept of the Samawa family through Qur’anic verses based on classical and modern exegeses as a solution for fostering harmonious family life in contemporary society. The research employs a literature review method, using the Qur’an and tafsir works as primary sources, supported by journals, books, and scholarly articles. The analysis applies a thematic (maudhu‘i) approach by exploring relevant verses, their asbāb al-nuzūl (contexts of revelation), mufradāt (key terms), and interpretations by scholars. The findings indicate that building a harmonious family begins with choosing the right partner one who is Muslim, possesses noble character, demonstrates courtesy, and comes from a virtuous lineage.
